Ans: Once your visa is issued, you
will have 12 months to arrive in Australia. After
you arrive in
Australia, you will be allowed to stay for a maximum of 12 months.
Ans: Yes you can. However if you depart Australia during your 12 month stay, you are not able to “top up” or recover, in any way, the period of time spent outside Australia.For example, you arrive in Australia on 1st Jan 2005.Your Working Holiday visa is valid until 1st Jan 2006. On 1 May 2005 you depart Australia returning on 1st July 2005. Your Working Holiday visa still expires on 1st Jan 2006.
Ans:
You can apply for another visa
while you are in Australia if you meet the requirements for another
visa. Working Holiday visa holders are able to meet
the criteria
for grant of a visitor visa to enable a longer stay in Australia
only if exceptional circumstances exist.
