Built in 1994, this square, which means ‘’the Sea of Stars’’ is a very popular Dalian tourist attraction. The centre of the square is like a star with one White Marble Cloud column standing at 19.97 metres high as well as nine enormous ancient Chinese vessels or dings as they are known in Chinese. Xinghai Square is where the annual International Beer Festival takes place from late July to early August.
