Seville is a truly amazing city that has it all.It is the capital and the largest city of the autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville. We offer cheap flights, holidays and short city breaks to Seville from Ireland at the lowest rates available so call us today.

Seville is the fourth-largest city in Spain and the 30th most populous municipality in the European Union. Seville’s Old Town is the home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Alcazar Palace Complex, the General Archive of the Indies and  the Cathedral. They are very worthwhile places to visit during your holiday to Seville, with holidays and flights to Seville from Ireland always available all-year round at exceptional rates.

Seville is situated on the plain of the River Guadalquivir. The streets and squares in the historic quarter of the capital of Andalusia are lively and busy.

During your Seville vacation hit the Seville Harbour. It is definitely a must-see. The Seville Harbour, which is located about 80km from the Atlantic Ocean, is the only river port in Spain. Enjoy the narrow, winding, medieval lanes that are scattered all over this charming Spanish city. Seville used to be a prosperous port that carried out trade with the Americas.

There are so many awe-inspiring must see landmarks and attractions in Seville that you have to check out on your arrival. The Seville Cathedral is definitely worth a visit, where we can offer all-inclusive holidays and flights to Seville from Ireland. The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, better known as Seville Cathedral is the largest gothic Cathedral and the fourth largest church in the world.

After your tour of the Seville Cathedral, you have to visit Giralda. The tower is 95.5m in height and it was one of the most important symbols in this medieval city.

Following your visit to Giralda, you are advised to make your way to Torre del Oro. Torre del Oro is a dodecagonal military watch-tower, which was built by the Almohad Dynasty in order to control access to Seville via the Guadalquivir River. It is a very interesting place to visit with holidays and flights to Seville from Ireland always available all-year round at very reasonable rates.

Any visitor to Seville has to visit Alcazar of Seville. It is a Royal Palace originally a Moorish fort. It is the oldest royal palace that is still in use in Europe.

The Plaza de Espana is definitely worth a visit during your Seville holiday. The Plaza de Espana is a plaza located in the Parque de Maria Luisa. It was built in 1928 and it's a strong example of the Renaissance revival style in Spanish architecture.

Maria Luisa Park is a magnificent park to explore during your city break holiday to Seville, where we can offer cheap flights and all-inclusive holidays to Seville from Ireland at very affordable fares. If you want to take a quick tour of the gardens, why not rent a four wheeled tandem bike in Parque Maria Luisa. They come in varieties for two and four riders. They are a great way of seeing the entire park. This will definitely be great fun for the whole family.

After your thorough exploration of Seville why don’t you enjoy a beer and a tapa of espinacas in El Rinconcillo, located near the Plaza de Los Teceros. This is Seville’s oldest bar, founded in 1670. You will be able to choose from a wide range of traditional tapas, which will certainly complement a very typical Seville atmosphere. Check out the collection of antique liquor bottles that are so rare that the companies who still produce the brands have tried in vain to purchase them back and if you feel a little peckish, there is a new restaurant above the bar.

Taking in a football match live is a wonderful experience during your Seville vacation. Tickets for Sevilla FC and Betis matches can be purchased in advance at the stadiums, usually in the mornings or the same day of the match if you just arrive an hour or so early before kick-off. Or call our sports department for information on packages to Seville football matches.

The Andalucian way of life is alive and well. You will be glad to have visited this spectacular Spanish city.

If you’d like to visit other parts of Spain, we can offer cheap Barcelona flights and holidays, or you could plan a Frankfurt holiday during your stay in Seville.

Climate

Seville has a subtropical climate, precisely hot-summer Mediterranean climate. The annual average temperature is 25 degrees Celsius during the day and 13 degrees Celsius at night. January is the coldest month with average maximum temperatures of 15.9 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures of 5.2 degrees Celsius.

Eating Out

Seville is well known for its Tapas. There are so many great tapas restaurants for visitors to choose from around the Cathedral in the centre of Seville. If you want good tapas, you are advised to head to La Manzanilla. The food here is cheap and totally scrumptious. It is located off Calle de Alphonse. Another place for Tapas is the Taberna Coloniales and it is located on Plaza Cristo de Burgos 19.

For the most typical and interesting meal, you have to stop at one of the many bars that are located in the city, especially one that doesn't offer English menus. You will find that the prices will usually be a lot lower.

Those of you who are Vegetarian, fear not. Most restaurants in Seville will be happy to cater to your specific needs and requirements.

A restaurant that offers an excellent selection of Vegetarian and Vegan foods is Habanita. It is a quiet open-air restaurant in the heart of Seville.

Getting Around

Seville has a great public transportation system. The buses run frequently and they cover the majority of the city in their routes. You are able to purchase bus cards at many news stands. Trips cost 60c or 70c, and it costs €1.50 to buy a refillable bus card (which can be topped up at many newsstands around the city).

Sevici bikes are available throughout the city with special docking stations, which allows you to easily grab a bike and go wherever you wish, then drop it off at another station when you arrive. Bikes cost 11,50 euro for a week pass, which allows the first half hour free and subsequent hours are a euro each. Also, year passes can be purchased for 23 euro with each half hour free and additional hours 50 euro cents.

Scooters are available for rent for €30 for the day and €120 for the week. These are a cost efficient way of getting around the city of Seville and a drivers license is not necessary.

A tram system is currently being incorporated into Sevilla's local transportation and is running from the San Bernardo Train Station to the Plaza Nueva but is expanding North and West into Triana.

If you require a taxi, taxis are easily accessible throughout the city. Many offer decent rates, but tourists should beware of the possibility of a crooked cabbie.

By Metro

Seville's new metro opened on 2 April 2009. It follows a 18km reverse U from the south-west to the south-east through the southern end of the city centre where it stops at Plaza de Cuba, Prado de San Sebastian and San Bernardo. Tickets are €1.30 for a single zone or €4.50 for all 3 zones unlimited trips, and the metro runs from 6.30AM-11PM on weekdays, and late departures are available on Fridays and Saturdays until 2 o'clock.
