Job description

Experienced Corporate and Retail Travel Consultants required with Min. 1 Years Experience, and must have either GDS and/or Sun Holiday Sales Experience. Good communication skills, product knowledge and a love of travel are pre-requirements.  Salary - negotiable based on experience. We are an expanding company with plenty of opportunity to progress for ambitious and hard working individuals.

Desired Skills and Experience

Must have worked in a travel agency and have product and destination knowledge

Minimum 1 Year GDS experience

Club Travel HRG is seeking trainees who really want a career in the Travel Industry to take part in our Trainee programme.

Our Training Programme for Travel Agents has a high success rate, and is considered ‘best in class’ in the Irish Market. It is not ‘theoretical’ training but combines theory with hands on and actual real work  experience from an early stage.

Location:- This Trainee Programme is held in our Abbey Street premises in Dublin 1.

The requirements

You need to be:-

• Experienced and confident in dealing with the public

• Comfortable in a selling or advisory role

• Hard working, flexible and enthusiastic about working in Travel

• Fluent in English (written and oral)

• Friendly, outgoing with a strong and proven work ethic

• Able to deal with challenges that customers may have

Qualifications:-.

• Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a recognised Travel and/or Tourism qualification but other 3rd level qualified applicants will be considered.

• Knowledge of destinations, geography and first hand travel experiences is an advantage

What does the training involve?

A 1 year intensive training programme covering all aspects of the travel agent’s role, with an emphasis of ‘on the job’ training.  It covers GDS, IATA regulations, Various reservations systems, products, destinations, sales techniques and customer service. Upon successful completion of this course you will be qualified to work as a Junior Travel Agent.

Year 2 onwards – you are on the path to a career in Travel

You are then a Junior Travel Consultant and are eligible to earn and progress through our salary scales and promotions, details of which will be provided at interview.  We encourage potential and would always aim to promote employees from within our own ranks.

Business Sales Executive with Brazilian Portuguese

Job Description:

We are an expanding company with plenty of opportunity to progress for ambitious and hardworking individuals and have recently been awarded Travel Agency of the Year by the Irish Travel Agents Association. The company has built a large market with Brazilians nationals living in Ireland, offering a competent and efficient service in Brazilian Portuguese language,

 

As this is a growing market segment, we are looking for an experienced Business Sales Executive with Brazilian Portuguese. The ideal candidate will have strong sales DNA, be results-driven, execution-focused and customer-oriented. You are the right person for this role if you are proactive, motivated, organized, responsible and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment. This role requires excellent sales and communications skills as well as effective relationship-building talents. Beyond that, we are seeking experience in territory management with deliverables every month as well as a strong background in sales with a track record of exceeding targets, preferably in telesales, new customer acquisition and/or business development.

 

Responsibilities / Main Accountabilities /Key Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities and channels to market to Brazilian Nationals

• Strategically position our travels service and solutions, value proposition and benefits

• Collaborate with Digital Marketing Team in the pursuit of excellent ROI and results

• Excellent at engaging with prospects, and assessing their needs and budgets

• Modify customer engagement to overcome objections and close sales

• Efficiency and expertise in the use of a Global GDS system (preferably Amadeus) and Iata Fares and ticketing

• Handling all aspects of booking, changes and ticket re-issues and refunds via the GDS

• Advising on visa requirements and restrictions on Airlines and transfer points

• Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets monthly and quarterly on revenue, conversion & other related KPIs

 

Knowledge / Experience / Specific Qualifications / Skills:

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual, with a great knowledge and background in the Travel Industry to drive sales and maximise our market share.

 

The qualifications, skills, knowledge or experience required for this job are;

 

- Extensive Travel Sales experience with a minimum of 5 years in a senior position

- New customer acquisition and/or business development experience.

- Fluency in written and oral communication in Brazilian-Portuguese

- Good level of sales aptitude (negotiation & closing) with relentlessly high standards

- Previous experience in identifying target markets and sales channels via Digital and Social Media

- Hard knowledge and minimum 5 years experience using a Global GDS and preferably Amadeus and/or Galileo.  Applicant will be required to pass our GDS competency tests.

- Target driven and proven self-starter with ability to deliver on initiatives without constant supervision

- Coachability, openness to feedback and dedication to consistent self-improvement

- Experience of working in an OTA environment and /or Corporate Travel related business

- Experience Required: 5+ years relevant experience in Tourism Industry.
